Hi All,
Does anyone know the difference between a DG-1000 and a DG-1001?
I can't find it anywhere on the web...

Wikipedia says the 1001 has electric landing gear retraction.

DG tend to do various evolutions/incremental revisions to their models.
At some point they decide the aggregate change is enough to warrant a
revison to the name. eg DG1000 becomes DG1001
DG1000 and DG1001 are basically the same glider in terms of structure,
wing profile, handling etc.
As some other poster noted with the 1001 they moved to electric
undercarriage as standard I believe.

Yes, the DG1001 has an electric gear. I own a DG1001M and it is a real joy to fly and to share the soaring experience with friends and family!
