Gentlefolk,

Does anyone have experience of using Bluetooth technology
for communicating between Laptop and PDA in the field
- or, for that matter, between PC and PDA at home ?

With Seasonal Greetings,

Yes,

works ok after one gets the configuration right in each
device. (that might require some effort...)

My latest trial was to run SilentWings simulator
in my laptop and connect the PDA running GPS_LOG
with Bluetooth to it. A nice way to explore the
PDA application features before the season starts.

I use Bluetooth as the ActiveSync connection between my laptop and PDA.
I also use it to connect my NavMan GPS to both laptop (running
Mickeysoft Streets & Maps) and iPAQ (running NavMan software).

Works fine but as another poster said getting the settings right can
result in a few dollars being added to the pottymouth fine jar.
