View Full Version : Refinishing radio stack front panels

Any one know where, or if, or how to refinish the front panels on a
King Silver Crown stack, or isn't if feasible?
I'd like to replace the amber plastic windows too.

I took the ones I got (KY-197, KN-53, KNS-80) and cleaned them up fairly
nicely. They were all metal (I think some have plastic fronts), so I removed the
amber windows, painted them flat black, and used sandpaper on a flat surface to bring
back the metal highlights on the front. On mine, all the raised portions were the
same height, so flat sanding off the paint worked great.
