You may have to go to http://www.icomamerica.com first, then click on
downloads and select Instruction manuals. Then you will have to agree
to their download policy, but no big deal...

Can I change my output power on the ic-a3 ?
Can't see it there anywhere . Maybe it stays on 5watts kit sure !!

My quick read through both the Instruction Manual and the Service Manual did not find any way to increase transmit power. Mine has been great using an alkaline battery pack. You need good voltage at 1.0A to get full 5 watts PEP.
