View Full Version : Sirius Aviation? Recent Experiences?

I saw that Sirius Aviation (www.sirius-aviation.com) had trouble
fulfilling orders 2-3 years ago. Can anybody comment on the current
situation? Has anybody purchased spruce from them recently?

I'm having trouble getting in touch with them (phone and e-mail), and
I'm not sure what to make of it.

I don't understand. You can't even get them to take your phone calls
or answer your emails and you wnat to know if they'll treat you better
if your give them money first? Get a grip man!

I tried to order a hipec covering manual from them. Never got the item,
they never charged my card, never answered my emails, wouldn't answer
the phone. Are they still in business?

I dunno about them, guys. Or HIM, actually - Ted.

He bought the plans book for my parasol, then "forgot" to send the
royalty payments - for over a year.

Last time I takled to him (couple of months ago) he was going to
get "caught up", but it's never happened.

Probably time (or way past?) to call in the lawyers....

Hi Jim,

Thanks for asking about it.

Sirius is _supposed_ to be selling plans, but it ain't happening.
Or more accurately, not paying up on the sales they have made.
(and yes, you may all say "I told you so")

Without an income from plan sales my web site just got too expensive
to keep, so I took it down.

As a result of all this mess, I've decided to publish a CDR with the
full web site, a few hundred additional pics, and a complete set of
study plans for a modest price. ($35.00?)

I've also been drawing up a completely new set of plans detailing this
new larger parasol with a VW engine installation, and a new wing for the
higher weights and speeds. (Take note that a full blown 2180 can weight
OVER 200 pounds!) But I don't know when they will be finished and
published. It probably takes as much work to draw up a set of plans as
it does to build the airplane!

I finally found a newly anointed DAR to inspect it. Should happen in
the next couple of weeks (!?!)

I have set up a (small) new web page up at
http://home.earthlink.net/~n6228l/
to document the completion.

Take a peek!
