Here are photos of the place I told you about that is up for grabs.

If I had 350K, I'd buy it in a pair of seconds. I wonder if there is any
wisdom in re-doing the place into a timeshare arrangement. That heated
garage would be one hell of a place to get away from it all while finishing
up your homebuilt.

Nah. Too many neighbors.

There's plenty of room for all of God's creatures. Right next to the
mashed potatoes.

Where's the bar?

Very roughly halfway between the Medicine Bow (WY) and Rawlins (WY) VORs.

By the way, they offered me a 5% finder's fee without me asking for it. I'm
NOT in the real estate business; I'm only doing this because these folks
were so very kind to me during my little difficulty last summer.

I'll be glad to split that fee 2% for me, 3% for you with any of the folks
in this NG that wind up buying it. Or we can donate the whole lump to the
EAA's Young Eagles program if you wish.

I ain't in this for the money. I sincerely like these folks.

You are missing one of the best features - INSANELY low taxes.

That's because taxes are based on value.

In some instances (such as this) that's a good thing...at least if they use
the tax assessors value.

For example, they don't tax your seanic view. :~)

According to the "FreeDictionary", Hanna comprises about 2 square miles and has
a population of 873 (as of the 2000 census). Median income for men is $41,000;
for women, it's $22,917.

No, it's because WY has a really low rate.

I looked at a half million dollar home in Jackson an IIRC the annual
property taxes were about 2k.

I have been in Jackson for years and the taxes are gettin kinda high.
But this is Paradise and thats the price one pays to live here. My
ranch 39 miles from here in Merna has my private strip, 2wy3, on it
and the taxes for it are 101.24 a year. Not bad for 80 acres and a view
to kill for.
