Searey Amphibs and Sal****er??

I live on a small lagoon on the Chesapeake Bay and would love to have
an Amphib like a Searey. Does anyone have experience with Seareys and
Salt? Is the factory kit and parts adaptable to sal****er? The
tailwheel and empenage concern me.
