I'm looking for daily low temperatures at a certain station (KBED) for
the month of January 2005. Is there a place where METAR data is
archived?

The furthest back I've seen the discrete METARs archived on the net is at
http://www.uswx.com/us/stn/?code=c&n=200&stn=KHPN, but it doesn't go back that far...

http://vortex.plymouth.edu/sa_parse-u.html has METARs by state for any date back
to July 30, 1998. It's a bit of a pain because you have to request one hour at a
time, and then you have to find the data for the airport you want from a listing
of the entire state for that hour... but the data are there.
