I understand the tip wheels are different among the various 1-26 models.

I made my own out of square "U" channel and large Rollerblade wheel riveted to the tip out where the last aluminum panel meets the end of the wing. My A&P IA had no issues with it :) Mine is standard AW but originally homebuilt ser number 006. I'd post a pic but not sure how to do that with the new groups.

I believe there is a difference of mounting tab per tip....the tab tends to point to fuselage centerline although that can be changed with welding....possibly....
Yes, different years are different, may be workable.
Knowing SN and side would help...;-)
