Anyone know what size o2 bottle is appropriate
My ship is located far away at the moment. Thanks

I installed an AL-647 in our club's PW-5 several years ago. The rear inspection hatch is large enough to accommodate the 5.3" x 20" cylinder. It stands vertically in the front of the fuselage bay. I don't remember exactly how I mounted it, but I probably used the cylinder mounting kit from Mountain High and fabricated a plate that is affixed in the bay somehow. If needed, I might be able to get access (glider was sold to a private owner) for some photos. You might think that a 647 liter bottle is overkill, but we are flying in the high desert of NM, and O2 is used nearly all the time during flight. The largest bottle you can stuff in the aircraft is always preferable to a smaller capacity. It the 647 is more than you want, the 415 is a little smaller in diameter but a bit longer. I don't recommend the 248 or 180, unless you like to refill after nearly every flight. Use an EDS from MH to minimize the refilling and maximize the duration.
