Ron is well into a straight out ridge run in the Appalachians in his trusty 1-26. He departed Blairstown NJ about 9:30 this morning and he's currently on Sleepy Creek Mountain abeam Martinsburg, WV.

Original play was to push up to the front ridge and try to make it as far as possible, but he got stuck for quite a while with the first transition. Odds-makers now favoring somewhere in the Shenandoah Valley as the finish point. Still a few hours of soarable weather left, so it'll be fun to watch.

Looks like he just landed at Waynesboro (Eagle's Nest Airfield, east of
Staunton). Amazing!

with that title - also was re-printed in ASCent 2020.)
