need Oshkosh lodging

I need a couple of motel rooms within an hour's drive (or preferably
less) of Oshkosh but my hunt 'n peck searches show everything booked.
Any suggestions? It would be nice if there were an airport close by so
I could fly in and book car/hotel.

Call the EAA housing hotline. The phone number is on the airventure web page.

I did that last year since I flew in commercially and my aerophobe wife was with
me. They found me a room at a nearby Ramada. It was a terrible motel, and
overpriced, but you take what you can get.

This year: back to the tent in the N40!.

Paul, I live west of OSH about 60 miles and it's really not a bad drive, I
can't imagine all the hotels in Stevens Point or Plover are booked.

Stevens Point, WI is about an hour from OSH, there are plenty of hotels,
KSTE has rental cars and there is also Enterprise Car Rental available

Waupaca is closer to OSH, but doesn't have as many hotels

Wautoma is closer than Waupaca and even fewer hotels

There are a few of the smaller outlying colleges who have dorm rooms during
Oshkosh. UW-O isn't the only game in the stadium.
