I was looking up the N-number of the first plane I soloed in back in the
1980s at the RAF Lakenheath aero club. What I found was that the plane
had been destroyed in an accident killing 1 (probably the pilot). The
NTSB only had the report of the accident as shown below:
NTSB Identification: DCA88WA048
14 CFR Non-U.S., Non-Commercial
Accident occurred Sunday, March 27, 1988 in OXFORD, United Kingdom
Aircraft: PIPER PA-38, registration: N91590
Injuries: 1 Fatal.
I looked on the web for info including the UK version of the NTSB but
could not find out anymore.
Does anyone have any source for the accident report or news stories?
