I'm coming to the USA in a few days (first trip to America). It's not a
soaring vacation, but I'd like to find the opportunity to put one more
sailplane type in my logbook. Where in the California/Nevada region
could I make a dual flight in a 2-32? Any suggestions?

If Minden is too far north, there is a club that operates one near LA.

I'm sure they would give you a ride if you split the tow fee, plus we
have a coupla new members from Australia...

Soar Truckee - California just north of Lake Tahoe just west of Nevada

Do a Google and you will see all that they have to offer.

Or you could try Hollister gliderport 40 minutes south
of San Jose (SF bay area) We have 2 2-32s we use for
rides and instruction.

Maybe see you there..

I would avoid the Soar Hollister site. I stopped by last year and was
interested in a demo ride. ( Even though I am an active CFIG) There
were a bunch of youngsters running the place that didn't seem
interested in helping me out. The CFI/Owner wasn't in and they said he
would be in later etc.. They didn't offer to call him to find out when
or what his schedule was etc...
Very cold place. Made me wonder why they went to the trouble to
advertise in flyers, signs etc...
