An update to the IGC-approval document for the LX7000 series of
recorders, made by LX Navigation, was issued today and will appear on
the IGC GNSS web pages shortly. This update adds the LX7007 model.
The Display and recorder Unit (7007DU) has a faster microprocessor and
extra connectors on the rear side of the unit. The extra connectors
are a female 9-pin sub D connector for use with a PDA, a female RJ-45 8
pin IGC-standard connector for transfer of data and a 6-pin RJ11 user
port. Downloading of flight data by three different methods is
described, including the use of the free Windows-based IGC Shell
program and the manufacturer's free Data Link Library (DLL) file
IGC-LXN.dll that is provided to work with the IGC Shell system. More
details are in the IGC-approval document.
