Any comment on which style COM antenna works best on a tube and fabric
aircraft connected to a junction of tubes?

its best to install a grounding plan on your aircraft, then install ant
on grounding plan

The AV-529 (Miller) has been the standard for the last 30 years. I believe
Comant makes a similar device called the 121 as I vaguely recall. They are
both right around $100, which knowing what is inside is a ripoff, but that's
the way it goes.

Thanks,
Can the AV-529 be mounted to the bottom of the aircraft or should I go
with the AV-17? Is the AV-17 as good as the AV-529
