Hi there everyone!

The reason for this posting is straight forward: I am looking for an old
gyro copter design. It must be older than 1994 for it is not in a 1994
listing of "KITPLANES" anymore. As far as my memory goes, it was called
"Windrider" or "Windraider", had a composite fuselage and an all closed
cockpit. I saw one flying between 1989 and 1992, I think.

Google does not really reveal anything that makes sense to me.

A possible last contact is from a web site called http://www.vula.org
which claims:

1

AEROSTAT 340 '82 - Aerolight Flight Development Co., MESA, AZ - later
sold to Aerotech Dynamics Co. Lawtey, FL "Windrider"
1
A

WINDRIDER '84 - Aerotech Dynamics Corp., Lawtey, FL - Principals ? the
rights were purchased to the AEROSTAT 340 fm MESA, AZ - and the name was
changed and this company added a two seater version. - CLOUD CHASER '84
by Aerotec Dynamics Corp '84 factory-Lawtey, FL - sales office in N.Y.
City see: "Aerostat / Windrider"

However, the yellowpages do not show an entry.

Who has further hints and information?

Happy flying, Eckard

Eckard,

It was called a "WindRyder", and was manufactured by the same company
that made McCutchen SkyWheels rotorblades in Colorado.
They haven't been made in years.

Your best bet for information would be at http://www.rotaryforum.com

The site is currently down for a short time for database repairs, but
should be up soon.
There is a builder there who is rebuilding one. You may be able to find
some more leads.
