Well, Charter's new news group server crashed around 3:30 AM on the
9th and just came back up a bit after 11:00 PM on the 11th. Strange
too, it only found 2 new posts on RAH for the past two days. You sure
must have had a quiet period.

Trying to post through Google is a royal pain. It just kept taking me
in circles and making me log in again so that too, leaves a bit to be
desired.

Let's see how long it lasts this time.

That is interesting. I am on charter, and mine kept going. (this time I
was OK, but not the weekend before this) I did notice a few "problems",
in that a few posts seemed to be answering posts that I did not see, and
could not find. I did not understand what was happening, until now.

They must have regional servers, so you were one of the "lucky?" ones.

I hope they get it figured out. On the whole I have been satisfied with
charter's service. (not with their prices) Growing pains are always
"painful". ;-(

Any other charter problems out there? Role call!

I use Highstream for a server and Free Agent for newsgroups and I have
been generally satisfied. They get overloaded occasionally, but not
enough to present a real nuisance.
