Although you can buy aviation headsets with cell phone
adapters. The newer generation lightspeed come with
an auxilliary cable that works just fine. There are
some other aftermarket active boxes that do similarly.
It's more involved than just making the connectors match.

The Flightcell 2Go is cheap and works really well, in fact i have
trouble convincing those on the other end of the phone i am actually
flying in a plane. Michael

IMHO simplest & chepest solution is "unmount" cellphone headset with switch, and
stick it "into" regular aviation headset - mic on the arm and small speaker inside
headphone. Cellular activate-deactivate switch somewhere fixed outside mic arm.
Disadvantage is second cable with connector.
