I'm a private pilot seeking glider instruction and/or club affiliation in
the southern NJ area..
I would appreciate any contact info.

Reply to group or feel free to email off group, after removing the obvious
from my address

Thanks

Chuck

Hi BT.. I've seen your posts on r.a.s as well. Thanks for the link. I'd
already chased that one earlier and found a relatively local group but had
no response to email to the contact shown. My posting rendered your welcome
reply as well as several direct emails from folks in local clubs. I expect
to be chatting with them all shortly.

Thanks again

Chuck

With apologies to the gentlemen from the Delaware valley who replied to my
earlier post directly via email, I managed to fat finger your replies into
the ether. Would you please resend your contact info so I can follow up.

Thanks

Not certain where you are in Southern NJ, but you may want to look at
Philadelphia Glider Council in Hilltown, PA (Bucks County). We have
our own dedicated glider field (130 + acres), 3 G-103s, 2 G-102s,
ASW-19, and 2 tow planes. Of course, we also have many non-club ships
based here. We fly every weekend and holiday plus Wednesday and
Thursday afternoons during daylight savings. We have 15 instructors.

Look at the website at www.pgcsoaring.org.

There's a newer club based at the Somerset NJ airport.

There's a commerical weekend only tow service.

Chuck: I used to belong to the South Jersy Soaring Club that was bsed
out of Millville. They later moved to Hammondtown a little further
north from Millvile. It was a good club with some good
pilots/Experimental builders. The club had their own tow plane and two
place glider. Check with SSA for the So Jersey Soaring contact man.
Otto Zauner was one of the best pilot/instructor/builders around but he
must be in his 70's if he is still there.
