Hi,

me and my wife plan to explore the archipelago of Tahiti
in Jan. 2005. Being a pilot, I would like to rent an
aircraft and to fly around. We do so regularly on Hawaii:

Could someone give me a hint if there are some comparable
opportunities on Tahiti? I believe to have seen in the
Insight Compact Guide a hint to one such company with
ultralights, but I cannot find it anymore. Maybe I have
just dreamed...

If you know of somebody renting aircraft over there, we
would appreciate a hint. Thanks in advance,

Thomas

Recent AOPA Pilot written by Lane Wallace told about her experience. We
where there is 2005 and there are opportunities in Papeti (capital of
Tahiti) just expensive.

Thanks for the feedback. How expensive is it? On these
islands many things appear to be... expensive :-)

I don't recall seeing that one. Sure it wasn't in Flying? That's her usual venue.

Give a person a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a person to
use the Internet and he won't bother you for weeks.

So you're looking for a time machine. Let us know what the rental rates
on those are.

Yea, I have meanwhile reviewed AOPA Pilot magazines back to
Jan 05, and I found no article about flying on Tahiti...

Yeh, it was Flying. I'll look up the contact numbers but you might try
emailing Lane @ Flying.
