AvWeb has an interesting article on a recent NTSB report calling for the
FAA to do more to improve pilot awareness of the effect of weather on
flight.
I would guess we are going to see a new round of aviation weather safety
programs, if there is money in the budget for them.

And if AccuWeather is unsuccessful in their attempt to suppress our
access to National Weather Service information. :-(

Interesting. 72 seems like a pretty small sample size from a
statistical viewpoint (I'd love to know the confidence values on some
of those assertions) but then it's really nothing we didn't know
already. I guess the question is, what do we do about it? Mandatory
annual hood training for VFR pilots?

The latest Blue Sheet (#311, August 2005) has the front sheet relating
ASRS reports with similar NTSB reports.
