Top Gun - The Sequel
The Top Gun logo is a Trademark of the Paramount Pictures Corporation

If you asked 10 pilots to name their favorite movie, all 10 of them
would say "Top Gun".* Maybe it's because "We have the need. The need for
speed"; or because we have all had the thought of requesting the tower
for a "fly by" but have known the answer will be "negative ghostrider,
the pattern is full" but just once, we'd like to do it anyway; or
because we know "she's lost that loving feeling" and just hate it when
that happens.*
To our friends in Ontario, Canada, who had a little fun testing out some
new video equipment, it means "the best of the best" with the speed of a
champ, off a grass field, and over the scenic countryside near Bushhawk
Creek, Ontario on the "highway to the danger zone".**
This video flick is of L. J. Lee's Aeronca L-16A at and over Bushhawk
Creek, Ontario, Canada:* video produced by Darryl Lahteenmaa of London,
Canada.* We enjoyed it and thought you would too.

It's an 18 meg download, so don't try it on dialup...

The video quality is exceptional. Was it shot in High Definition
format?

Very nice.

Give a person a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a person to
use the Internet and he won't bother you for weeks.

You must be joking. The movie is 320x240. Any decent standard-def video
camera could produce "exceptional" results like that.

It could, of course, have been shot with much nicer equipment. But the
download isn't anything special, quality-wise. Whatever it was shot in, it
was downsampled to typical Internet quality (which is to say, low).

Ditto! I think I'm going to try to burn it to DVD since I have a DVD
burner and have never burned a DVD in the last year since I got it. ;)

The video appears very sharp on my Fujitsu N series LifeBook Crystal
Views display at 1400 X 1050, but I do wish it were larger.

It's 320x240. If it looks sharp displayed at 1400x1050, then that's a
function of your media player (presumably Quicktime Player), and/or your
display drivers and related software. The video file does not have hidden
resolution in it to make 320x240 look better when "blown up".

Very well produced. Nice choice of shots to go with the music cuts.
