View Full Version : Things to do along the way...or when I get there!
October 12th 05, 11:10 PM
Do any of you know of a good website to search for good places to fly
and fun things for pilots to do? I'm not just looking for $100
hamburgers, although that's welcome, I'd like more things like aviation
museums and picnic grounds. Any recommendations?
Thanks!

I've heard that there is a hotel with aviation themed rooms somewhere in
Iowa - Iowa City perhaps? Could be fun to visit.
Apparently it's right on an airport. I think that there is someone who
ocassionaly posts to this newsgroup that might know more about it.
(Sorry, but I hate to miss the chance to be a smart @ss, donchaknow.)

Well...we're new but growing quickly. Check out
www.adventurepilot.com and search through hundreds of destinations
with our search and mapping technology.
We've had 24 new flying destinations posted by our members in just the
last 12 days, and the only off-the-shelf data we have in our database
is a database of casinos for pilots who want to find one close to an
airport. Everything else is either researched by us, or is submitted
by our members, and is all searchable by distance from an airport, or
along a route!
Membership is free, come take a look. And if you're going flying the
weekend after this and you're anywhere within a few hundred miles of
Hot Springs, Arkansas, come meet us at Petit Jean, MPJ, on Saturday
and Sunday, 22nd and 23rd.

:-)
Come see us at the inn sometime! www.AlexisParkInn.com
Also, if you're looking for info on fly-in aviation museums, see our little
webpage here: http://alexisparkinn.com/fly-in_aviation_museums.htm
They're a lot of fun to visit!
