I hope he can pull it off. Flights to/from the Isle of Man are fiercely
competitive and it looks like at least one airline flying in and out of
here is going to the wall. (Perhaps he can pick up some of their
passenger loads if they do go tits up).

Wow, how does a 19 year old kid manage to finance a J-31 and crew
it/insure it/ market it etc.? Amazing.

Well, I'm not sure I'm all that impressed that he would sell a money
making venture to buy one that is certainly a money loser! :-)

He's still young though...

Well, you fly airplanes.

He does too. But he gets investors to pay him for it.

His hero is Richard Branson and everyone thought he was on a loser when he
started Virgin Atlantic. Its doing pretty well. Probably makes more profit
than all the US majors put together excluding SWA.

Its the same with Ryanair who are one of the most profitable airlines in
Europe and they give the seats away for free.

Even British Airways makes big money and there are no government handouts or
featherbedding either.

Its just a different business model on this side of the water.

Probably the best chance he has of getting an aviation job. :)
