I've expanded the soaring section of my web site, including posting
some of my favorite photos taken while soaring. The soaring page itself
is at
http://www-ee.stanford.edu/~hellman/soaring.html
It has a general description of soaring including a list of FAQ's I put
together. That page will be old news to this group, but may be useful
for friends who ask questions. There is a link in the first paragraph
on that page to an index of soaring photos or you can get there
directly at
http://www-ee.stanford.edu/~hellman/soaring/photos.html
This page in turn has links to eight pages, each with 2-7 photos and
descriptions, divided by area. Most of the photos were taken near
Minden or Yosemite, but some go as far as Meteor Crater and the Grand
Tetons.
Hoping this is of interest to some.
