Curious if anyone out there would like to comment on the flying habits
of the Graham Lee 7/8ths Nieuport 11 replicas. I'm thinking of buying
one and curious what people have to say. I have mostly Ercoupe (with
rudders) and Cessna time, but also a fair amount of glider time, so I
know how to use a rudder but have very little official taildragger
time.

They fly OK once off the ground. On the ground the Nieuport 11 is a
challenge.

Some of the guys there have a lot of experience. Dick Starks has been
flying his Nieuport 11 for about 20 years... and only has a couple dozen
ground loops :-)

Before spending dime one on the Nieuport, I would get some dual in a
tailwheel biplane (look in TAP: such places exist.) You may find it's
not for you and save a LOT of money.
I might have killed myself a lot of years ago if not for some free
back seat time I got in T-6s. Boy was that educational.
