The folks at SSA have been tweaking their web page.
Go to their home page and click on the 'refresh' button.
You will scroll through a bunch of photos. If you
see a repeat photo, it doesn't mean you've seen them
all. Keep hitting the refresh button.

Nice work!

There is also work being done to the State Records
page (shameless plug...)

Thanks for the kind words, Ray.
Our newest Director-At-Large, Doug Easton, has been volunteering as
our webmaster. With the help of many other members, in proofreading,
typing additional documentational material, and suggestions for valued
additional material, the SSA site has been gently morphing into a more
highly utilized and (we hope) valued service.

With technology developing, it is SSA's hope to provide more automated
access to services, and thereby contain the expense of adding staff.
The smaller, but finally growing again, member base can't sustain the
same style of service packages of fifteen or twenty years ago. We have
to be leaner and more efficient. This is reflected in the
Eagle Fund solicitation of this year, to support equipment acquisition
that allows this increase in efficiency. Realize that Hobbs is
currently running our sport's support systems by balancing the 2005-06
budget by being short by three persons from "former" staffing levels.

Some of this difference is being compensated for by volunteers, as
Directors, Committee persons, or as task helpers.

We could still use help. Recruit additional members. Tell folks that
you notice a change in service level for the better! If you see a gap,
offer to step in and assist. And, when someone does a nice turn for
you, staff or volunteers, give them the thanks for which they have
worked hard, with no expectation of any kudos or reward.

In the spirit of the season, gentleness to humankind,
Cindy B
Region 12 Director, SSA
