I hope this isn't an inappropriate post.
I recently found out that 2 friends of mine small plane went down
somewhere in Columbia South America. They were 2 Americans on a
long-planned and -prepared trip to the Amazon.
I've tried some online searches, but I haven't been able to find any
confirming information.
If anyone has suggestions of how to search for this, I would appreciate
them.
Thank you.

Sometimes, the NTSB accident database will include accidents that happened
on non-US soil and in non-US registered aircraft. Have you tried searching
there?
http://www.ntsb.gov/ntsb/query.asp
If you know when this accident occurred, you can simply provide the date in
the search criteria.
Did your two friends survive or were they killed in the accident? My
sincerest condolences if they were killed.

All I can suggest is this site:
http://www.ntsb.gov/ntsb/query.asp
Then select "Columbia" for the country and click on the "Submit Query"
button.

I got confirmation of the crash last night. On saturday, Dec 24, my
friends Kurt and Karin went down over Cali, Colombia. The small plane
crashed into a factory roof. Both were killed.
This is the 2nd time a friend of mine was killed while flying their
planes.
It's not a good feeling.
