Redlands Muni, L12, from "Aerodynamics" They lost their lease, and
are charging $1.99/gallon until it's gone.

Ah, that's unfortunate (re: lease).

But nice to see avgas actually cheaper than mogas, for once. Hmm. Maybe
I'll drive over in my car and fill it up. :-)

(Kidding, of course.)

Basic econ...the price charged has to cover the cost of
replacement product plus a profit margin. Going out of
business means that they are not replacing the product, so
they don't have to factor in the higher cost of new
production.

Makes me wonder how old that stuff is.

I know we've got some small airports in Iowa that fill their tanks *maybe*
annually.

Avgas should be "fresh" but just what that means, only the
FAA and the API can tell you.

That's terrifying, but undoubtedly true. And it happen at major airports
where one or more FBO specializes in something other than recip powered
aircraft. One FBO, who shall remain nameless, said "we quit selling av-gas
because we were losing more to evaporation from our truck than we were
selling." While obviously a gross exageration, I'm pleased that he left the
av-gas biz to those who do more of it...

Deleted cross-posting, sorry.

Avgas does not evaporate out of the fuel truck, obviously the company
has filed, and is trying to genrerate some cash. We just purchased
avgas for one of my FBO's, you pay more for pump unleaded!

We are currently pumping the first of 80000 gal. of $.99c/gal JP8
purchased from a base on the BRAC closure list. You buy it as Jet A,
and add Prist.

There are lots of deals out there, you really need to look.
