Here is a picture of an older Cambridge vario:

The control on the left has two pots and a 3-position switch. The pots seem
to control audio volume and sensitivity, but I'm not sure about that. The
switch seems to control response, but I am also not sure about that.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks.

My guess is that it serves a function similar to the 2-position switch
on my 302: top position, audio in lift only; bottom position, audio in
lift and sink. A middle position might be "no audio".
I wonder if the folks at Cambridge Aero troll this newsgroup?

My club has several of these "relics" in use - perfectly usable, BTW.
The left knob is the volume control and the right is a "zero adjust".
The switch is a 3 position on/off, audio up only, and audio up and
down. Before take off, I would set the audio to "up only" and set the
"zero adjust" at the point where the audio was on the edge of on/off.

If my memory serves me right, the 3-position switch is: OFF, ON(FAST
RESPONSE), SLOW RESPONSE. One pot controls the volume, and the other
controls the threshold for lift.
