Retraction (lowering?) assist springs on V2C

My V2C has one of the large wheels with shock absorber and hydraulic
disk break (in other words, the heavy combo). My mechanic noted that
there is one assist spring, but places for two. We'd like to know if
I'm missing one?

I got an answer from Monty at M&H on this. The standard configuration
is one spring. The main axle must be checked to be sure it isn't too
tight, and the gear mechanisms must be lubricated at least once a year.
If all those are done and it's still to hard to raise and lock the
gear, a second spring can be added.
