Hi Everybody,

I have recompiled the old CuSoft Polar Explorer DOS program to work under
Windows and issued version 2.2 as Freeware.

Anyone interested in trying it out, please visit
http://www.trimill.com/CuSoft/ where the program and a short User's Guide
are available for free download.

If you have any questions or comments about Polar Explorer, please email me
at or post an article to this news group.

Regards,

Branko Stojkovic

Nice man, thanks!

Don't know if this is trivial but to those of you who can't get the
program to run under WinXP: Modify the properties of the pif-file to
refer to the pe22.exe alone, i.e. without path statement. And then
simply start using either the exe- or the pif-file.

My LS-6a is missing in the polar file, but such data are available on
many sites. Here's a link to Paul Remdes excellent site:
http://www.soarmn.com/cumulus/polars.htm

Thanks again,
Reno

PS: Found a nice basic introduction to polar curves "for the soraring
challengend", as the author himself labels it:
http://home.att.net/~jdburch/polar.htm :-)

Many, many thanks for making this program available, Branko! It's a
very useful program, with lots of options - I appreciate the hard work
that went into writing it. Thanks again!
