David Mockler is heading for New Zealand to compete in the second Grand
Prix. Eleven of the worlds best glider pilots including New Zealander
John Coutts, 15-Meter World Champ, will be flying hard in this Grand

Developed to promote soaring and interest the media in the sport the
New Zealand Gliding Grand Prix takes place from 21-29 January in
Omarama with the final three days of the event open to the public. A
giant outdoor screen, fed by the most advanced TV graphics and live
helicopter filming ever seen, together with live commentary, will keep
crowds in the thick of the of the action, creating a brand new
adrenalin-charged spectator event set to change the face of competitive
gliding.
