The version 2.0 of the Navigator is out. - information about 2.00 release is

FlywithCE Navigator is available as a FREE 90 day trial program

I like it and have used it for a couple of years myself already, I am
biased......but I think it is an excellent system...easy to use ...try it
for free I think you'll be very impressed.

I notice on the above web location that the waypoints on the demo
screens are from Slovenia (Krizka, Lesce, etc.). This makes me think
that the soaring simulator Condor was used since the only location (so
far) available for it is Slovenia. That's where the programmers live.
I believe that the ability to "test" new PDA soaring software in the
comfort of your study makes Condor worth the $50 just for that. Much
better than driving around in your car or whatever. Certainly safer to
learn all of the details of the PDA software at home rather than being
distracted in the air. The NMEA sentences that Condor delivers are in
essence no different than when flying "for real". One can test
everything such as thermal mode, flying tasks, interacting with the
software while "flying" and so forth.

Of course Condor is also an excellent soaring simulator.

you can of course load maps (from the FlywithCE website) for any location on
the planet
and also install waypoint and turnpoint maps from the Soaring Server or
other sites with PDA and flight computer and logger formats and then run
simulator from your own PDA showing your home base or any other
location..since the program is available for a free trial you can also get a
full functioning version you can actually fly with (without the
interruptions some have included in trail versions as a teaser that keeps it
from being a working program. This is excellent software.easy to use for
almost anyone even if they are not savvy computer types...It's certainly
worth the trial for anyone who is new to the PDA glider programs and also to
those already using some other software....most who do try it like it and I
suspect many will switch to this once they have a chance to compare...

The truth is different - Navigator is also written in Slovenia and because
of that I use local maps when I am making screen shots. As Tim said you can
generate maps for any other place on the earth or use waypoints prepared for
other moving map programs.

For the GPS simulation I use another small utility which is not publicly
available and is more suitable for testing hardware or Pocket PC software.
