Ron Wanttaja (a regular over on rec.aviation.homebuilt) has written a most
excellent book outlining literally EVERYTHING you need to know before taking
the leap into owning your own airplane.

I have read it cover to cover (I received a copy from Ron in exchange for
participating in a "case study" about using auto fuel in airplanes --
something I strongly favor and promote), and his book really runs the gamut
of ownership, from costs to responsibilities.

As an experienced owner, I can highly recommend this book. It would have
been a great help back when I was contemplating making the leap.

I think it's safe to highly recommend just about anything Ron writes. :)

I admit, I haven't seen his ownership book yet. I remember when he was
looking for input a few years back when he was working on it, but never got
around to getting a copy. I'm glad to hear it's every bit as good as I
expected it to be.

Only once? I'm sure I've rolled it over 3 times, and have hit enough of the
rest to have read it again.

It must be 'cause I paid full price for it. It is naturally more valuable
to me. <g>

Wait a minute, hold the phone; that's his new one. Dang-something else to
spend money on!

Go by another gallon of gas for moonraker on me, Ron. Another copy is
headed towards me!

I look forward to it.

Wow, that's really wierd that you posted this today. Just last night I was
reading through his book a second time and threw it in my bag to read on the
way to work. After owning for over 5 years, it's still a good read.
Excellent book.
