View Full Version : Wanting to purchase a decent weather instrumentation system ... any suggestions?

January 22nd 06, 04:57 AM
I'm interested in purchasing a package weather instrumentation system
possibly with some other environmental sensory data packages ... any
suggestions? It is for a small airport with moderate traffic. I am
looking for manufacturer suggestions who are reliable with good
accurate repeatable consistent results.

Any help, would be appreciated.

Well, you missed the great weather instruments wizard Bashir Salami
(Bushy Salami) by a few days! He knew the insides of a few companies!
You might want to check back posts!

But, from what I know, you might want to scratch Belfort Instruments
off of your list!

Yeah, I agree with Andre's assessment. May I suggest you investigate
Vaisala or SuperAWOS. I've heard that have some fairly priced
versatile instruments.

If you don't have a budget, maybe you can get a DEMO unit installed by
Belfort for FREE!

Do you like to talk to yourself? Do you think people are that stupid?

All 3 of these stupid posts all trace back to the same schizophrenic person.
Apparently you don't understand how the GoogleGroups message ID tagging
works. There's no such thing as anonymous posting. Billion dollar companies
(especially when being subpeonaed by the US govt), don't leave loopholes
like that.

In the words of ManCow (as much as I can't stand the guy), "Slam me, boost
me." All you're doing is giving people more reasons to go to Belfort.

Don't we all talk to ourselves. So, your saying these posts are all by
the same guy? Hmmm! Well, I doubt it from what I checked. Either
way, the message seems to be valid!

You ought to know... you wrote them all. Since Belfort fired you, maybe
McDonald's would hire a man of your obvious talents.

if it does not need to be certified, try Davis instruments.

Michelle, thank you for the information. I briefly checked out the
website and liked what I saw. I'm still debating whether I shall want
the system to be certified though. I was aware of Davis, but for some
reason, it just slipped my mind. Do you work for Davis?

Seems as though this newsgroup is full of nuts! When someone posts a
question about weather Instrumentation, all of the idiots come out of
the wood work, and blame this guy that used to work for Belfort. They
must either be competitors, or some existing employees of Belfort. I
also noticed that they follow each other around newsgroups and tag-team
anyone who does not agree with them! Watch out, they are a bunch of
simple-minded individuals with no life! They make all kinds of
accusations and blame everyone wrongly for speaking their own opinion!

Anyway, thank you for the information!

I do not work for Davis but I own a couple of their products. A weather
monitor and the Car Chip.
Happy with both.
Weather systems are a sticking point for some reason.

I forgot to mention you should avoid, at all cost, Super AWOS.
That guy funds terrorists and hates Jews.

I own a Davis Vantage Pro II and have had zero problems with it. I would
recommend it to anyone. I bought an Oregon Instruments weather station that
was complete junk (I seen it at Sams Club a few ago to!), so I finally just
had to spend the money and buy a nice one.

No, I do not think I will be buying a Belfort or Oregon unit!.

Darkwing, what use or area of the country is your unit used for/in? Is
it at a commercial or private airport, etc.? What type of traffic and
weather conditions are prevalent?

Any help you can provide would be welcome.

Darkwing is a competitor of Belfort or has some sort of affiliation
with Belfort Instruments. You might want to negate his opinion!

Why don't you purchase a Belfort unit? Maybe they give it to you as a
DEMO unit!
