I'm going to be putting a Cambridge Model 10 FDR (the one with the
internal battery) into my ASW-19 at the end of March. Gary of CAI
wasn't able to advise me, so I'm sort of winging it.
Because of the 10's weight (3.6 lbs) and size (6" x 6" x 3"), I felt it
would be best to mount it in front of the wing spars, where batteries
generally go. But I have several concerns - security of the mounting,
interference with installing/removing the wing pins, and how to mount
the 10's U-shaped quick release bracket and flat backing plate in this
recessed spot.
If anyone on the group has experience with mounting a Model 10 in
either an ASW-19 or an ASW-20, I'd be grateful for some pointers (or
pictures). Thanks in advance!
