I used to have a little "dynamotor" inverter that made 400cps 3 phase
from 24 volts - have not seen it for a couple of years,

I have a dynamotor that weighs about 10 pounds. I use it to power
test equipment. Too heavy for aircraft.

Mine came from an airplane too, I was intending to mean too heavy in
the context of home builts.
I have a couple of 26 VAC 400 hz single phase inverters. Handy dandy
for synchros.
