Our club recently did a gliding promotion in support of the "Big Day
Up" national gliding day in New Zealand.
We managed to do 155 "trial" flights with 4 twins & 2 180hp towplanes
in a little over 10.5 hours.
That included one hour wih only one tow plane as the other "broke" and
we had to organise a backup"
Yep it is a club record
We think a New Zealand Record

Anyone alse in the world done better than this.

Flights were aero tows to 1500ft done on a fully controlled regional
airport. So we had to fit in on a parallel runway to arriving and
departing commercial commuter stuff!! The airport recorded its highest
movement count in its history that day with 800 movements.

No idea, but let us know if any join up. The defunct Enstone GC in the
UK once did an open day of trial flights for the general public. 130
flights from a two drum winch with three two seaters, launches to
1500ft. If was a fund raiser. I think we had one family join the club
as a result.
