At the risk of being pilloried by certain followers of this news group,
I am advising any of you that have read previous postings regarding
"How to buy a glider affordably" that the Fidelity Contafund is closing
at the end of this month. This means that only investors of record by
the end of this month can invest new money in this fund. While the
ContraFund is not the only mutual fund I can recommend, it is
definitely the best of breed. Again, the performance is the top of the
list, but it is consistent. For those of you who know anything about
investing (and there are a lot who don't) the ContraFund has the
highest Sharpe Ratio that I am aware of.
