Anyone know where I can get/buy Cessna 152 POH's? I searched online
for them and didn't get too many results. I'm looking for late 1970s
or early 1980s POHs. Are they all basically the same? I mean, the
airframe is pretty much identical for all of these guys and the engines
are pretty much the same too.

You can still buy them directly from Cessna and many Cessna Service centers
stock them. For the nearest location check:

The POH is fairly inexpensive if you do not need the W&B as delivered from
the factory. There are slight differences between some years of the 152,
especially between the 1978 model and later years. The differences include
a "High Voltage" vs. a "Low Voltage" panel light (same location, different
function), minor differences in the placards (spin recovery sticker) etc,
etc. Yes all fairly minor, but enough to make quite a few POH versions.
Take a look at page 19 of the TCDS.

You will see the Cessna P/N vs. the aircraft S/N

Maybe, compare revision dates and serial number pertainence. That
should be a very easy POH to get a copy of.

I bought an extra (reprinted) Beech Sundowner manual, that pertains to
my s/n, from an online vendor who I wish I could remember the name
(Essco?). It matches the book in my plane, except it has no W&B data
pertaining to the actual airplane.

Most flight schools sell reprints for C152, C172, PA-28's etc... to
students for $20-$40, depending on airplane,as they are the most common
trainers out there.


Remember, you'll need actual W&B data for the actual aircraft for it to
be a legal flying copy.

Actually, it needs to be the actual maintained copy of the manual for
it to be legal for a 152. Your "extra" copy with a copy of the actual
aircraft w&b is useful for planning purposes (oddly, through all the
flight operations I've been in, only one gave us the W&B info for the
fleet so we had it prior to coming to the airport). It will not
suffice if the "proper" book is missing from the plane.
