View Full Version : August 1967 Boys' Life

In browsing eBay for soaring-related goods, I have happened upon
several copies of the August 1967 issue of Boys' Life, the magazine of
the Boy Scouts of America. That issue concerns itself with soaring, and
the cover depicts a scout at the controls of a glider in flight, as
seen from the back seat.

Is the soaring article in this magazine worth a read?

Don't know about that particular article, but I've recently submitted a
proposal to Boys' Life through my cousin, a regional editor for the
magazine, on soaring with a possible hook to Neil Armstrong, Eagle
Scout, due to his recent soaring exposure on 60 Minutes.

Haven't heard back yet. My cousin wants to bring the troop he's with
on a soaring outing though.
