This is a tad confusing. "Star Wars" or more specifically, the
Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI) was a Reagan Era program.
The expression "star wars" in reference to it was a public label
not one from any "secret memo". The expression is usually
credited to Dr. Carol Rosin. Furthermore, Star Wars the movie
is dated to 1977 which post dates the Ford Administation.
He may have been involved in some anti-ballistic missile
programs which predated Reagan, but to call any of that
Star Wars is horribly misleading.

#6 is the most important point in the original posting.

The whole thing also proves the old adage that being an "expert" in one
field doesn't make you an expert in any other field. After all, Nobel
laureates have been hoodwinked by supposed psychics using
run-of-the-mill sleight of hand tricks.

The name came from Ted Kennedy. Reagan announced SDI on March 23, 1983
-

"I call upon the scientific community in our country, those who gave us
nuclear weapons, to turn their great talents now to the cause of
mankind and world peace, to give us the means of rendering these
nuclear weapons impotent and obsolete. ... I am directing a
comprehensive and intensive effort to define a long-term research and
development program to begin to achieve our ultimate goal of
eliminating the threat posed by strategic nuclear missiles. This could
pave the way for arms control measures to eliminate the weapons
themselves. We seek neither military superiority nor political
advantage. Our only purpose - one all people share - is to search
for ways to reduce the danger of nuclear war."

The next day, Teddy the K issued a press release that called Reagan's
proposal "misleading Red-scare tactics and reckless Star Wars schemes."

And one point left out of the list - Robert Bowman is a loonball.

And Alex Jones, the guy behind the link, has no problem hoaxing his
dim-titted audience. Not even Alex Jones believes most of the kookey
theories he fills his radio show with.

that the working class will stop their infernal car-driving and start riding
on buses where they belong, while liberals ride in Gulfstream jets.
