We should all go hijack it. (In a manner of speaking) I think it's
called "loon hunting."
Start talking about ADF, departure procedures, induced drag...just start
making stuff up and act like they're not even there. Pile on acronyms and
CFRs and propose something utterly ludicrous but proven by jargon to see how
long it takes for somebody to hear one of our theories on latenight talk
radio.
Either that, or we could start swapping gremlin stories. They're real, you
know. Ask a pilot. All pilots know about gremlins but they don't talk about
them, because, of course, nobody would fly with them if they did. But
gremlins are real! On Saturday, for example, at exactly 2100Z over Sandy
River Departure a gremlin opened the door of the PA-28R I was flying and
threw out my windbreaker and sectional.
True story. I was there. Nobody else was, and the jacket I was wearing was
gone. Ask any pilot; a single occupant who is flying the plane cannot open
the door of an Arrow enough to throw out a jacket, so it has to have been
gremlins. Scientific, if circumstantial, proof.
Gremlins brought down TWA800. Did they not?
