View Full Version : Strap cable ends

May 14th 06, 02:09 PM
I want to use some SA361 and SA362 strap cable ends (like Wicks part
number SA361-2) for 1/16" and 3/32" cable. The balls need to be swaged
to the cable, but I can't find any info on the tool to do it. Anybody
know about this?

Thanks in advance,
Jerry

That tool is called a Kearney Swager, and usually only cable specialty
firms have them. You can buy one from Aircraft Spruce; right now the
price is just under $6100 including a few dies.

When I need a cable with those types of fittings, I just sketch the
cable and then order it. I've had good luck with both Aircraft Spruce
and with McFarlane Aviation Products. Here's the ACS page for this
service:

Thanks, and best regards to all
