Found this, thought some might be interested:

The MYT engine is the result of a $4 million dollar R&D project undertaken by Angel Labs LLC to build the ultimate internal combusion engine. Inspired by drag racing, inventor Raphial Morgado designed the engine with a focus on power, torque, and fuel-efficiency to meet the hefty demands of the today's automotive applications in a lightweight package. The result was a revolutionary design with a power-to-weight ratio up to 40 to 1, over 3,000 ft/lbs of torque, and a diesel-mode mileage in excess of 150 mpg!

I reviewed the website and found no mention of specific fuel consumption
(sfc), so we really do not have enough data to draw conclusions,
although the weight sounds too good to be true! (150 lb for 850 hp).

That would make your hair curl in an average homebuilt!

Sounds like vapor ware to me. The claims are so far beyond physics
that it raises my 'doubting Thomas' hackles.

OK who's gonna be the first to try it in an airplane?
How's that old saying? If it sounds too good to be true...
Not that I'm a doubter and I'd really like it to be true, but featured
in an "antigravity" magazine?

Yah, but think how my G-III would perform even if I did have to add
drop tanks, a fuselage tank and tip tanks. Course then I'd have to
find a longer runway on which to land or fly until I used all the
fuel.

And -- you would have to take out a bank loan every time you pulled up
to the gas pump!

Clever idea. The high compression ratio diesel cycle looks very
promising. Thermodynamicaly I think it could be pretty impressive.
The website says that mostly the thing has been run on compressed air
at 150 psi. Mechanical construction looks like another story. After
looking over the drawings, I bet there will be horrible strength and
sealing problems with all the monkey motion that has to go on to
sequence the pistons. I hope this guy solves all the problems, but I
sure won't hold my breath.

Me thinks that auto makers and other big companies would have bought him
out, long ago, if it were really as good as it was proposed.

And they all have the same drawback. Overly complicated, don't live up
to their hype and no working prototype.

You left out the "Quasi Turbin" that at least had a 'working prototype'
if you define the term very loosly.

Someone else said the same thing but it bears repeating.

I have a friend that is always looking for that nutcase with the perpetual
motion device, the 1000mpg car, or 1000kw generators that run on belly
button lint and spam emails. I always counter with

"get back to us when there is a working prototype"

also, anyone who knows of a working antigravity device, FLT drive, or other
space related devices, please let me know.

Boy, if you aren't the pot calling the kettle black.

Seems like _you_ are the one wanting to know why you can't afford to fly
real airplanes on minimum wage jobs, and why aviation, and all things
airplane have to be expensive.

I can sooner see an FTL drive, than cheap aviation.

this is my counter to all the people who complain that GA is dying, airports
are closing, towers are beign unattended and the other slew of issues that
crop up here.

you noticed i haven't mentioned looking for GA on a minimum wage budget
recently.

I mean cripes, most complain that about GA dying but dont offer any outlet
to those who do not want to devote their whole life savings to fly.

EAA's sport aviation is even more out of touch, with articles about owners
with multiple planes.

unless someone can find a way of getting the complexity down, i agree.

Been working on AG for years. All on paper. Some of my PHD friends
just shake theii heads as proposal is way out of the box :o)

As the state of the art progresses in area I am working in, it is a
possibility a lab device could be operational before I die???

I have several patents in the Oil Industry so know that rabbit trail
and where it leads with new ideas :o)

Well, the bright side of this is that the drawings for the flux capacitor
currently reside in the public domain, so all we need now is 1.21 GigaWatt
and a bit of plutonium..
