The first day reports have started to come in from the U.S. soaring
team competing in the 29th World Gliding Championships in Eskilstuna,
Sweden. See team's Day Reports on the U.S. Team Website at this

The official practice period starts May 28th and starting June 4 120
the worlds best glider pilots will be competing for the title of World
Champion in the Open, 18-Meter, 15-Meter and Standard classes. Veteran
reporter John Good (also crewing for Doug Jacobs) will be bringing you
up to the minute coverage from the U.S. Team as they go for the gold in
Sweden. These reports are posted by Frank Whiteley and John Seaborn.

Reports are posted for the 29th and 30th. Looks like a couple more
days of rain are expected. John Good reporting on the activities and
local observations.
