Does anyone know of any production twins with 680s or 670s. The only one I
can think of is the Cessna T50.
Also, what are the weights of the gipsy series of engines?
I'm toying with the idea of a diesel project with a certified diesel if I
can find a pair of them and something that I can hang them on.

Thanks JP.
I googled for a couple of hours last night looking for that.

Don't mention it. I didn't find either any other twin engine aircraft
equipped with Lycoming R680s than Cessna T-50. No twins with Continental
W670s apparently.
There's a T-50 project for sale:

Thanks again JP. I'll take a look at that T-50.
What I am thinking about doing is locating a pair of Guiberson A1020
diesels( 310hp, 650lbs) and an airframe to hang them on while still keeping
a good appearance. I've thought about the Dove, any other suggestions?
Thanks

My father looked for an airworthy Guiberson for over ten years-one-to
put on a Gullwing Stinson. He could not come up with even one let alone
two. What he heard is that the aircraft versions were bought up for
parts to keep the tank ones running for missionary generators by a
religious outfit, that also established the Crown company in Elkhart,
Indiana. He eventually gave up. And my dad was very determined-he owned
a lot of CCCA classic cars and several warbirds. Like a LOT of
warbirders he died in-a Bonanza.
Somewhere I have a set of manuals and a tool set for a Guiberson and a
few parts. If you bag one and are serious about flying it they are
yours, if I can find them.

Ronnie,
Sorry to hear about your Dad. I've just started to look in earnest and hope
I can find some. I'll let you know what I come up with.
Thanks
