I'm working on a safety presentation for our club on Ridge Techniques,
do's and don'ts, etc. I have in my personal libary Tom Knauff's
"Flying the Bald Eagle Ridge," which has several useful diagrams
illustraing things such as offsets/gaps, bends in the ridge, etc.
Ideally, I'd love to reuse somebody else's Powerpoint presentation.
Alternatively, I would like to look at some other texts for ideas.
Topics so far "in the can" include:
- Ridge shapes
* Ideal
* Stepped
* Double
* Flat
- Wind angle
* Macro
* Micro
* Wave suppression
* Thermal influence
- Basic safety items
* Rules of the road
* Climbing off
* Fields
* Testing the ridge
* Lee side turbulence
Can anybody out there save me from having to create all these diagrams
and notes from scratch?
Thanks in advance,
Erik Mann
